Most vodkas start with grain, and grain brings heat. Beachtree starts with certified organic Queensland sugarcane: a base that is naturally lush, creamy, and soft without intervention. We ferment and distil from scratch at our solar-powered Caloundra distillery. No bulk ethanol. No outsourcing. No shortcuts.
The result is a vodka with nothing to hide and everything to taste.
Why sugarcane makes a fundamentally different spirit
Grain-based vodkas require additives and filtration to chase down the heat the base ingredient creates. Sugarcane doesn't have that problem. It's naturally sweet, naturally soft, which means what you're tasting in every sip is the ingredient itself, not the effort to disguise it. That's the difference between process and provenance.
Why we distil more - not less
Most Australian craft distillers distil three to five times. They're right to, when your character lives in the base ingredient, aggressive distillation strips the very thing that makes your spirit worth drinking.
Sugarcane changes that equation. Its character isn't carried in the compounds distillation removes. It lives in the natural lushness of the cane itself — and that survives. So we run our spirit through over 150 plates of copper distillation across more than 60 hours. Not to fix what the ingredient created. To refine something that was already clean into something exceptional.

Tasting Notes
A soft, toasted-sugar nose opens to a plush, silken palate, naturally creamy without a trace of grain heat. The finish is long, clean, and quietly elegant. This is what Australian sugarcane actually tastes like.
