Kirra's Story
Kirra's a gin and food obsessive with deep roots in farm life, raised on the rich soil of Bundjalung country. Imagine: the scent of macadamia trees mingling with the rumble of dirt bikes, all underscored by the delicious influence of her Mum and Nonna. They weren't just cooking; they were crafting experiences – from the magic of wine and grappa to the vibrant flavours of homegrown feasts, not to mention the legendary grape-stomping sessions that left little feet permanently stained crimson. From those sun-drenched days to a career in science, health and nutrition, Kirra's always embraced life with gusto. Now, she brings that same vibrant energy to Beachtree Distilling Co., an internationally award-winning craft distillery on the Sunshine Coast.
She channels her meticulous background into the base spirit, obsessively ensuring every drop is naturally clean and additive-free—the ultimate silky base for native flavour.
Steve's Story
For Steve, a Kamilaroi man, the Australian bush isn't just a backdrop; it's a living laboratory. From his early experiments with home brews to his years mastering the intricacies of engineering, he's always been driven by a desire to understand how things work – and how to make them better. At Beachtree, that passion finds its perfect expression. Steve's unique distillation and filtration methods, born from his engineering background and infused with his deep knowledge of native botanicals, create Australian spirits that capture the very spirit of the land.
This dedication to process didn't just create complexity; it engineered the removal of the harsh bite, delivering the creamy depth we're now famous for.

Hi humans, they call me Shadow – and I am the local resident distillery dog here at Beachtree. I joined at a young age, as I knew my humans were working super hard and needed an extra four paws for support. Now, I help run this operation. I am not quite sure what my humans do – I see them making lots of things to drink and they seem to spend lots of time working on large machines, but I think my job is way harder. The other day, I had to help load 200kg of fresh sugar cane into the truck. It is huge work for a little puppy. When I’m not working, you will find me enjoying long walks around sunny Queensland and chasing water at the dog beach. Anyway, that’s enough about me for now. I have to go drink some sugar cane juice… sorry did I say drink? I really did mean help! I need to HELP with the sugar cane juicing
